He graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) with a PhD in clinical Acupuncture. After Six years of internship in the acupuncture department of Beijing BUCM affiliated Dongzhimen Hospital, he was offered the position of director of the acupuncture unit at the Vithas Medimar International Hospital in Alicante in Spain. Under his directive the acupuncture unit is developing protocols based on the integrative medicine guidelines in collaboration with the hospital various departments.
He also is a research fellow for the European Project “China and Europe Taking Care of Healthcare Solutions” (CHETCH) where in collaboration with his colleagues he is working on solutions for the future integration of Chinese Medicine in the European Health systems.
In the academic field, Federico Marmori is a member of the European Foundation of Chinese Traditional Medicine (FEMTC) giving lectures and seminars as well as providing Chinese medicine online continuing education worldwide.
